Establishing integrated logistics warehouses for medicines and medical supplies



Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up the project of establishing integrated logistics warehouses for medicines and medical supplies, in the presence of the Minister of Health and Population, Hisham Tawfiq, Minister of Public Business Sector, and Major General Dr. Bahaa El-Din Zidan, Director of the Armed Forces Medical Evacuation Complex.

During the meeting, they reviewed the position of the proposed stores and their distribution, which consists of a strategic warehouse in Cairo, serving Cairo and the administrative capital, in addition to five other stores, a store that serves Alexandria, Matrouh and El Alamein, and Ismailia store, which serves the cities of Canal and Sinai, and the Mansoura store and serves downtown. The Delta, the Minya store serves north Upper Egypt, and the Qena store serves southern Upper Egypt and the Red Sea.


The Prime Minister pointed to the President's attention to this important project, in the framework of the State's endeavor to provide strategic stockpiles of medicines and medical supplies to all government agencies for a period ranging from two months to four months, and the elimination of any monopolistic practices in this area.
 The Prime Minister demanded that the parties concerned agree on the final conception of the steps of implementing the project, within a week from now, in preparation for submission to the President of the Republic.
